ELYsian

Project Description
Elysian is a jewelry design exploration that focuses on bringing fantasy elements and their aesthetic into wearables.
The project considers how organic shapes can portray fantastical elements while harmonizing with the wearer’s body.

During ideation, my focus was to represent elements in folklore stories rooted in nature.
Some key guiding elements were the fluidity of water, the complexity of forests, and the concept of hidden worlds.
Through exploration, I aimed to understand how we can materialize the feelings fantasy stories evoke such as wonder and intrigue.

I utilized Rhino7 SubD tools to get seamless transitions throughout my curves, which proved to be a great challenge in the process of refining the form, making me revise and adjust individual faces to make the model work.

KeyShot was an essential tool for achieving the fantasy aesthetic. It allowed me to explore how the same form can communicate different feelings through changes in materials and lighting before deciding on the final design.
